Hosting panel migrations
Hosting panel migrations, planned and tested
cPanel to HestiaCP. Enhance to cPanel. Plesk, DirectAdmin, Virtualmin and the rest. We move the sites, mail, DNS and the fiddly bits, and prove it all works before anything switches.

Why switch
Why people change panels
Licence renewals, end-of-life notices and changing team requirements are common reasons to review your panel.
Licence costs may have risen, or the panel or operating system may no longer receive updates. Sometimes a previous panel is a better fit for the team and its tools. We handle moves in either direction.
No two panels map one to one. Sites, databases, mailboxes and DNS move cleanly. Panel-specific plugins, webmail preferences and the odd exotic mail filter sometimes don't. We list what carries over and what needs rethinking before we touch anything, so nothing surprising turns up mid-move.
Routes we handle
Any panel to any panel, in either direction
These are the moves we get asked for most. If yours isn't here, it almost certainly still fits.
cPanel to HestiaCP
The classic move away from per-account licence fees, onto an open-source panel that does the job. Sites, mail and DNS across without your users noticing.
Enhance to cPanel, and back
Providers modernising onto Enhance's container model, and teams heading back to cPanel because their staff and tooling know it. We do both directions, without judgement.
VestaCP to HestiaCP
VestaCP stopped moving years ago; HestiaCP is the maintained fork and the migration path is well-trodden. The longer this one waits, the hairier it gets.
cPanel to Plesk
Move accounts, websites, databases and mail with Plesk Migrator where source access allows. We check the destination services and migration warnings before cutover.
cPanel to Virtualmin
Import cPanel account backups into Virtualmin, map domains and mailboxes, and test the applications. PHP versions, scheduled jobs and custom settings need checking after import.
Panel to no panel
Sometimes the right panel is none: a plain nginx or LEMP stack, managed by us. Less surface, fewer moving parts, nothing to licence.
Panels we work with regularly:
Not listed? Ask anyway. If it holds sites, mail and DNS, we can almost certainly get them out of it.
What moves
The whole account, not just the files
Websites depend on mail, DNS, scheduled jobs and account settings. We check these for every account as part of the move.
Migration process
Rehearsed first. Switched second.
Every migration runs as a copy before it runs for real. Nothing cuts over until the copy demonstrably works.
Audit
[free]We inventory accounts, sites, mailboxes, DNS, PHP versions and scheduled jobs. Then we explain what maps cleanly and what needs a different approach.
Build and rehearse
[tested]We set up the new panel and migrate copies of the accounts. Each site, database and mailbox is checked against the original before the switch.
Cutover
[out of hours]TTLs come down, a final sync runs and DNS switches, usually overnight. A tested rollback plan is ready if anything looks wrong.
Aftercare
[included]We watch mail deliverability, error logs and the odd edge case for the fortnight after. The old server stays untouched until you agree nothing still needs it.
Plan your migration
Moving from cPanel to Virtualmin or Plesk?
The import route depends on your destination and the access you have. Virtualmin imports cPanel account backups; Plesk Migrator uses source server access. In both cases, mail, DNS, changing data and application checks need their own plan.
Our checklist covers the two routes, email-only moves, a rehearsal, the final sync and what a workable rollback needs. It also explains what to send us for a useful quote.

Quoted per move, fixed before we start
The quote depends on the number of sites, their software, the source panel and the volume of mail and other data. We review the setup first so the price reflects the work.
The audit is free, the quote is fixed, and it doesn't grow mid-move.

Best fit
Who this tends to suit
Teams that need their sites, mail and account settings checked and tested before a move.
Moving off US-owned tooling altogether, not just between panels? That is the bigger picture behind digital sovereignty.
Talk it through
Tell us what you're on. We'll tell you what moving involves.
Your current panel, a rough count of sites and mailboxes, and where you'd like to end up. We'll come back with what maps cleanly, what doesn't, and a fixed price. No pressure to proceed.
Send an enquiry at any time. We will respond as soon as we can and agree a practical next step with you.
